I have worked with the brilliant Terry Wilson for more than 15 years. He has been a generous and creative asset to organizations i have worked with.  The iconic voter registration poster he designed for us to encourage homeless voters to turn out at the polls can be found framed and hung in many offices and shelters around the nation.  It is a real treasure.  He also created another wonderful poster we used to oppose a local mayor’s whose anti homeless policies were hurting people in our community.

The poster was a part of a campaign that ultimately caused the mayor to change her policies.

Terry even created a set for a television talk show we hosted on local cable tv. He listened to our proposed theme and went to work to design a delightful set that was as professional as any national news show. Counter Talk was set around a diner counter with a neon sign in the window and a cake dish on the counter.

Finally, when I launched a new program I turned to Terry to design a logo for us. Twenty years later we are still using it and haven’t changed a line.

What a great talent he is. We are so grateful for all of Terry’s creative work for those who are politically and economically disenfranchised.

It is my privilege to endorse the professionalism of my colleague in the arts, Terry Wilson. As an

award-winning Creative Director involved in the often pressurized task of “creating on demand,”Terry brings humor, sophistication and a dedicated imagination to the process of team collaboration; a calm confidence that his decisions are immediate and “work.” Speaking from personal experience, he is knowledgeable in every graphic spectrum, and the language of conceptual metaphors, affording him,

as a Creative Director, a unique, recognizable imprint born out of his confidence as a graphic designer, photographer and fine artist. Terry Wilson is one of the few people I will work for.

Though he is my son, Terry really is a nice guy. He loved to draw when he was young and thought tying a towel around his neck gave him the ability to fly around our home. When he was not flying his other means of travel was riding his stationary hobby horse “Thunder”.

Since working, he has told me about his sometimes long work days. I guess his work ethic evolved

from me as a teacher and his father, a drill sergeant. I’ve always told him “ “Root lil’ pig or die”.

That means to always do your very best.

I often see him sitting in front of the computer working. Give him a try. I think you will like him.
