Fine Artist with a Community-Centered Creative Consciousness

 

Fine Artist with a Community-Centered creative consciousness. Illustrated a poster for the Seek Program (Summer Engineering Experience for Kids) which featured “Black Inventors”. It highlighted inventions of over 300 black inventors and the years in which their inventions were created. It was distributed nationally. Created VOTE, a voting awareness on-line and external video campaign to encourage citizens to VOTE in local, state and national elections. Teamed with the National Council of Negro Women, to inspire their more than 25,000 members and contributors which have a connection to nearly 3 million women to encourage communities to vote.
 

International Work

 

Proven ability to communicate, collaborate and oversee design teams in other countries. Created 

concepts and art-directed photo sessions in countries such as Brazil, France, Egypt, Philippines, Mexico and the UK. Worked in London and Sweden with Lowe Brindfors Advertising agency, creating concepts for SAAB motorcars. 

 

Awards

 

Won over 70 awards and certificates for video, print, radio and on-line communications. Creative excellence in award shows such as Washington DC Addy Awards and New York Addy’s. Featured in creative magazines such as Communication Arts, Print Magazine, Creativity and Lurzer’s Archive Magazine (International). Public relation awards such as the Silver Inkwell.
